The support staff at Roslyn Greenvale Veterinary Group will strive to make your visit as enjoyable as possible for both you and your pet. Our staff is selected because of their genuine affection for animals and their interest in providing the best care possible. Our receptionists will do their best to accommodate your scheduling needs and answer your questions. Should your pet need treatment, hospitalization or surgery, our veterinary technicians will help perform diagnostic tests, administer medications, and provide compassionate care. During your pet's boarding or hospitalized stay, our kennel staff will provide both companionship and excellent care for your animals. If your pet requires grooming, our master groomer will provide a "day at the spa" for your pet. Our hospital would not be able to run without the hard work and dedication of these individuals.

Below you will find short biographies of our staff. They have all been written with staff input, and you can see our sense of humor in some of them!

Zeus the Moose - Zeus joined the Roslyn Greenvale staff approximately 5 years ago after being abandoned by his previous owner. Zeus' official title is Client Liaison and he can often be seen strutting through the waiting room, greeting clients and their pets (including big dogs!), opening closed exam room doors during appointments and overseeing general patient care. In his free time Zeus enjoys sunning himself by the windows, stealing other animal's food, drinking running water from the faucet, and being underfoot.

Mr. Lawrence - Lawrence joined the Roslyn Greenvale staff approximately 4 years ago. His official title is Staff Psychologist/Masseuse. He always seems to know when we need someone to talk to and provides support to us whenever we need it. Our counseling sessions usually end with a nice back massage proved by Lawrence free of charge. Lawrence's hobbies include stuffing himself into boxes, carriers and other tight spaces, prolonged self-grooming sessions and sleeping on the baby scale.

Paulette B. - Paulette has worked for the Merrick and Roslyn Greenvale Veterinary Groups for almost 20 years! She started out working as a kennel attendant, and over the years began directly assisting the doctors and refining her technical skills. She is an invaluable member of our team and is currently working as both a veterinary technician and as our on-site office manager for the Merrick office. Paulette is married and has 11 cats and a Yorkshire Terrier. When she is not working Paulette enjoys movies, puzzles, photography and playing with her dog Montana.

Amy A. -  Amy has been one of our staff technicians for over 2 years. Amy began working in the animal field approximately 8 years ago when her career in the film industry didn't pan out the way she planned. When she is not at the hospital, Amy spends time at home worrying, recycling or trying to save the world a little. Amy started a very successful recycling program at our hospital, and we recycle all of our plastic, cardboard and paper products!  Watch her recycling video here. She admires the work of Gandhi, David Lynch, and Dian Fossey. Amy has 5 dogs, 6 cats, 2 tortoises, a turtle and Twinkie (a Cockatoo).

Erick V. - Erick has been a member of our team for over a year. He has worked as a technician for the past 8 years. Erick has 2 Pitbulls named Siouxsie and Vash the Stampede, a cat named Dizzy Kagome, a ferret named Street and a pet rock named Bob. Erick is a skateboard enthusiast that enjoys music, video games, collecting tattoos, comics and "geek" conventions. When he is not working Erick spends time preparing for the next outbreak of zombies.

Emily T.
- Emily recently joined our team as our newest veterinary technician. She has worked as a technician for the last 10 years. Emily has an African Grey Parrot named Bob, a Greyhound named Dorian Grey, and a cat named Jobu. When she is not working Emily is a news junkie that enjoys live music and going to Mets games.

Sherry S. -

Laura D. - Laura joined our staff part-time in September 2008. Previously she worked at South Fork Animal Hospital for approximately 2 years. Laura's sense of humor makes her a great asset to the front desk. She is married and has a son named Declan. Laura also has a frisky old kitty named Mallory and an "old man" Malamute mix named Shadow. In her spare time Laura likes gardening, Street Fairs, and shopping at Whole Foods and Trader Joes.

Jessica R.
- Jessica is another recent addition to our front desk staff. Jessica has been an avid animal lover her entire life. She comes from a corporate background and is very excited about finally fulfilling a lifelong dream of working with animals. Jessica is looking forward to pursuing a career as a veterinary technician in the future. In her spare time Jessica enjoys reading, going to movies and going out to dinner. She has one dog, a cat, a ferret and 2 fish tanks at home.

She has been working hard to reorganize, restructure and to continue to help us manage our hospital as efficiently as possible. In her spare time Lisa enjoys music and spending time with her new husband. Together they have a Yorkshire terrier named Madison, and four cats.
